AN IMMINENT BAN ON SMOKING IN ALL PUBLIC PLACES!!

The Government is debating whether to ban smoking in all public places. What do you think about this?

V.V. said:

Personally, I am not in favour of people smoking in all public places, but when smokers stay in a place for a long time they need to smoke because they are addicted to tobacco.

Firstly, I think that it is fair that nobody could smoke in public places, because they bother the people who do not smoke. People like me, for example.

Furthermore, smokers in public places should be fined, because it is illegal. If bars allow smoking, they should have two rooms: one for smokers and other for non smokers.

Finally, I think that it is a good idea that the government has taken this measure, in order to show people that tobacco is bad for the health and has negative effects.

HIGH SCHOOL FAVOURITES

These are the favourite movies of the collaborators of this blog:

Little Man ("Pequeño pero matón"): Alba Gil said it is "funny and interesting"; so did Ana María Marcano and Talía Plat.

José Manuel de Alba Carrasco liked Pirates of the Caribbean 3: "The ships are very well recreated (...). The ending is very sad because the protagonist died with his ship. He was murdered by a Leviathan". Mari Carmen Delgado Maline said it was "interesting and entertaining". "Captain Jack Sparrow -says José Luis- is a very funny man. But I didn't understand the end well".

Rolando Martínez Vidal liked The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. He said: "the special effects were very good and the sound was good too; the movie was perfect, it is an impressive movie".

Miguel Farrujia liked Ghost Ridden: "I liked it because it was very exciting".

Both José Luis García and Adrián Camacho liked old films. José Luis liked Terminator: "although it is old, it has some good special effects"; and Adrián liked The Godfather: "You should see it if you like gangster movies".

The only one who chose a musical was Inmaculada Torres Silva. She liked High School Musical "because it shows how valuable friendship is".

Lidia Galán and Marta Ramírez like horror films. Lidia chose The Eye ("very interesting and frightening"). And Marta preferred Chucky, for the same reasons.

MY FAVOURITE FILM, 3: THE MERMAID

Yasmina Achhima wrote:

My favorite film is The Mermaid.

It´s a cartoon film and also an exciting film. I saw it at a cinema in Cadiz in 1998.

Ariel, the mermaid, fell in love with Eric, the prince. She wanted to be a girl with legs. She didn´t want to be a mermaid. And she got it, though she had to give her voice to Ursula, a witch. Finally she recovered her voice and she got married with Eric. The special effects were amazing, and the music very beautiful. I liked the film because it was very funny and exciting, but the ending is very happy.
